RICKY IAN GORDON: The Grapes of Wrath

Based on the Pulitzer-Prize-winning novel of 1939 by John Steinbeck, this was dubbed "the Great American opera" by Musical America. With heartfelt music embracing the Americanisms of open harmonies and simple song, the powerful story follows the sharecroppers reeling from the devastation of the Dust Bowl on their native Oklahoma lands.

Performed by the spectacular student talents of the Aspen Opera Theater and VocalARTS program.
