Andy Einhorn Back To Performers
Andy Einhorn, directs concerts this year with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, National Arts Centre Orchestra, Tucson Symphony, and the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra. Recently, he served as the music supervisor and musical director for the Broadway productions of Carousel and Hello Dolly! Previous Broadway credits include Holiday Inn, Bullets Over Broadway, Cinderella, Evita, Brief Encounter, The Light in the Piazza, and Sondheim on Sondheim. Additionally, Einhorn served as music director and conductor for the Châtelet Theatre’s production of Sondheim’s Passion. Since 2011 Einhorn has served as music director and pianist for six-time Tony Award winner, Audra McDonald, performing with her alongside such prestigious orchestras as the New York Philharmonic, Boston Pops, Philadelphia Orchestra, San Francisco Symphony, National Symphony Orchestra, and Los Angeles Opera. Einhorn has also music directed for Barbara Cook at Feinstein’s and Toronto’s Royal Conservatory of Music. Recording credits include Audra McDonald’s albums Sing Happy and Go Back Home, Carousel (featuring Renée Fleming), Hello Dolly! (featuring Bette Midler), and the Grammy-nominated Sondheim on Sondheim. He also served as the music director for HBO’s documentary Six by Sondheim and music supervisor for the PBS special Broadway Musicals: A Jewish Legacy, both of which won Peabody Awards. Andy Einhorn is an honors graduate of Rice University.
