Where Dreams Begin Campaign
ASPEN IS... WHERE DREAMS BEGIN
The Aspen Music Festival and School is a place for learning, teaching, and performance. It is a place for personal and professional breakthroughs and is beloved by so many. This video is a snapshot of what Aspen means to our students, artist-faculty, guest artists, and patrons.
Aspen, as we know it today, started with a dream. Walter and Elizabeth Paepcke envisioned a town that would become an international crossroads for ideas, art, and the expansion of the human spirit. As one of the cornerstones of the original Aspen Idea, the Aspen Music Festival and School continues to strive for excellence in teaching and performance, and continuing the legacy for our students, who dream of a future in music, for artistic breakthroughs, and for personal and professional relationships that will shape their lives for decades to come.
The Where Dreams Begin Campaign will revitalize our historic, 38-acre campus and strengthen endowment funding for students, faculty, and programs. To ensure life-changing experiences for new generations of aspiring musicians—and so that Aspen audiences can continue to share in those experiences—we invite your support of our Campaign.
The vision of the Aspen Music Festival and School calls for an investment of $75 million.
- Campus Reconstruction: $35,000,000*
- Endowment: $40,000,000
- Campaign Goal: $75,000,000
*The cost for reconstruction of the Matthew and Carolyn Bucksbaum Campus is estimated to be $60 million, which will be borne equally by the Aspen Music Festival and School and Aspen Country Day School.
It all started with a dream. When Aspen was a quiet, ex-mining town, Elizabeth and Walter Paepcke dreamed it could be more. Today, the Aspen Music Festival and School is still where dreams begin. We invite you to share these dreams and to support the Aspen Music Festival and School in its goals for excellence in teaching and performance. Please give to the Where Dreams Begin Campaign for the Aspen Music Festival and School.
