Aspen Music Festival And School

Endowment Campaign

With the completion of the Matthew and Carolyn Bucksbaum Campus, we seek support for our endowment to ensure life-changing experiences for new generations of aspiring musicians—and so that Aspen audiences can continue to share in those experiences.

The AMFS is dedicated to attracting the highest-quality students by offering financial assistance, the world’s best teachers, innovative programs, and creative programming. Smaller campaigns within the comprehensive Where Dreams Begin Campaign include efforts to increase student financial aid, to honor artist-faculty, and to benefit future Festival excellence and innovation. Gifts to the endowment, with these goals in mind, will ensure that the AMFS continues as the preeminent summer institution of classical music education, performances, and presentations.

Student Support
Financial aid is the most powerful tool in recruiting the world’s best students. We will increase funding for full and partial scholarships such that tuition assistance will be provided for more than 85% of students each summer, up from 75% currently.

Artist-Faculty Recognition
The AMFS will pay tribute to artist-faculty for their outstanding talent and dedication by adding opportunities to recruit and teach the students they want most.

Harris Concert Hall
Thank you to our supporters who helped meet the $1 million challenge grant set out by Joan Harris and the Irving Harris Foundation. The newly created Harris Concert Hall 20th Anniversary Fund will support, in perpetuity, continued improvement of the performance quality and comfort of Harris Concert Hall, as well as endow a fund in support of the Winter Music Series in Aspen.

If you would like to be a part of Harris Hall's legacy, gifts of any size are still celebrated and can be made online or by contacting Kat Berg at 970.205.5061 or kberg@aspenmusic.org.

Festival Programming Support
We will add funding for innovative programming and special projects to keep the AMFS at the forefront of our field. We will also solidify funding for our most beloved offerings and increase funds for more frequent commissioning of new music.
