This event may be viewed on the AMFS Virtual Stage (past events) through January 13.

The Jupiter String Quartet is a particularly intimate group, consisting of violinists Nelson Lee and Meg Freivogel, violist Liz Freivogel (Meg’s older sister), and cellist Daniel McDonough (Meg’s husband and Liz’s brother-in-law). Now enjoying their 20th year together, this tight-knit ensemble is firmly established as an important voice in the world of chamber music. The Jupiter String Quartet are unique in that they are alumni of the AMFS Center for Advanced Quartet Studies program, were previously AMFS artist-faculty, and have appeared as guest artists. As is their signature, their Armchair Series program features classics paired with contemporary voices.

The Aspen Music Festival and School is pleased to offer a series of virtual concerts created during the pandemic by musicians in the AMFS fold, both alumni and long-time performers.
These beautifully filmed and curated one-hour concerts are free and viewable for three days each from the comfort of your own home.
