During his time at The Juilliard School, Mr. Kurland founded the Vocal Arts Cabaret and curated the collaborative piano department’s Two Piano Concerts. He has served on the faculty of the Franco-American Vocal Academy (Périgueux, France) and earned his doctorate and master’s degrees from The Juilliard School, studying with Margo Garrett and Jonathan Feldman, and he received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin with AMFS artist-faculty member Anton Nel.
