Behzod AbduraimovBack To Performers
Behzod Abduraimov has worked with leading orchestras including the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Boston Symphony, London Philharmonic, NHK Symphony, Leipzig Gewandhausorchester and the Czech Philharmonic. He performed with the Mariinsky Orchestra and Valery Gergiev in their Prokofiev Piano Concerto cycle in Europe and on a major U.S. tour, which included his concerto debut at Carnegie Hall. This was followed by his recital debut in the Weill Hall, resulting in an immediate re-invitation to the Stern Auditorium for November 2016. This season, his engagements have included a return to the Los Angeles Philharmonic and debuts with Seattle and Dallas Symphony Orchestras. He has appeared with the Munich Philharmonic, Rotterdam Philharmonic, Berlin Konzerthaus, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France and Hong Kong Philharmonic. Following his award-winning debut recital CD, Behzod released his first concerto disc in 2014 on Decca Classics. Behzod was a pupil of Tamara Popovich at the Uspensky State Central Lyceum in Tashkent and studied with Stanislav Ioudenitch at the International Center for Music at Park University, Kansas City, where he is now artist in residence.
