Samuel Williams is a saxophonist, composer, and educator based in Boulder, Colorado. Experienced in a variety of music styles, Samuel performs frequently in concert halls and jazz venues throughout Colorado and beyond. In 2013 and 2014, Samuel was awarded the Saxophone Fellowship at the Aspen Music Festival and School and continues to perform regularly as a guest artist in Aspen. In addition to his appearances at the Aspen Music Festival and School, recent performances include engagements with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, and performance tours throughout China in 2015 and 2017 with the Hemispheres Saxophone Quartet. In addition to working as a bandleader, Samuel is in demand as a freelance jazz performer and studio musician. Samuel’s debut album Turn the Moon was released in 2017. Samuel earned Master of Music degrees in saxophone performance and jazz studies from the University of Northern Colorado, where he studied with Dr. Andrew Dahlke. Samuel is a D’Addario Woodwinds endorsing artist.
