For the first time ever, the Aspen Music Festival and School has created custom Spotify playlists that allow you to enjoy the music and artists of the 2017 season no matter where you are.

2017 Season: In Recital (Listen)

Guest artists playing the same works you'll hear during their recitals this summer, including:

  • Nikolai Lugansky — Chopin's Op. 50 No. 3 in C-sharp Minor: Mazurka (July 18)
  • Jonathan Biss — Beethoven piano sonatas (August 1 and 8)
  • Vladimir Feltsman — Schubert piano sonatas (August 19)


2017 Season: Soloists with Orchestra (Listen)

Soloists playing the same orchestral works you'll hear during their orchestra concerts this summer, including:

  • Jean-Yves Thibaudet — Liszt's Second Piano Concerto (July 23)
  • Renée Fleming — Selection of Björk songs (July 30)
  • Alisa Weilerstein — Shostakovich's Second Cello Concerto (August 18)


2017 Season: Special Events (Listen)

Works you'll hear at special events this summer, including:

  • Sarah Chang — Vivaldi's Four Seasons (July 19)
  • Sharon Isbin — "Billy's Theme" from Howard Shore's score for The Departed (August 5)

 

How to use Spotify

Spotify is a streaming application with free or paid subscription options. Follow this link and click either "Get Spotify Free" or "Get Spotify Premium" to sign up using either your email address or your Facebook account.

To listen to music with Spotify, download the Spotify app. The app is available on desktop, mobile, tablets, and even some newer models of vehicles and TVs. Click here for instructions on downloading the Spotify app.

Once you have downloaded the Spotify app, find the AMFS's account by following this link or typing "aspenmusicfestival" into the Spotify search bar. Click the "Follow" button next to the AMFS logo for quick access to the profile and notifications when new playlists have been added.
