Join us for the 2025 Festival exploring the spiritual nature of music, presenting a season that embodies wonder, mystery, contemplation, inwardness, and ecstasy in a spectacular mountain setting. Enjoy this curated sampling of highlights from the 2025 season lineup, including symphonic masterpieces by Mendelssohn, Bernstein, Beethoven, and Vaughan Williams, epic works like Holst’s The Planets, Handel’s Messiah, and others that center around the season theme, “Concerning the Spiritual in Art.” Keep an eye out for additional playlists as the summer approaches! Listening Lists
View our complete Listening Lists to find the perfect concert for you. In the meantime, take a listen to some of our favorites:
Epic Orchestral Works
Off-stage trumpets, 100+ person orchestras, low brass ringing throughout the concert hall, triumphant endings. These thrilling works will keep you on the edge of your seat and leave you wanting more. Catch one of these six epic works brought to life in the Tent. |
Powerful Piano
Float around the melodies or bash them into submission, for pianists there’s no getting around the fact that some works are fiendishly fast and difficult almost to the point of making your overworked digits collapse onto the keyboard. Here are many of those dizzyingly virtuosic works that will be performed this season. |
From the Vault
Take advantage of the vast repertoire offerings throughout the summer—you might just discover a new work by your favorite composer. Some of these pieces haven’t been heard on an Aspen stage in decades! |
Popular and Cross Genre
We offer a handful of non-classical events throughout the summer —from the legendary Chris Thile on mandolin and a mariachi celebration, to Scottish bagpipers and musical theater, there’s something for everyone to enjoy! *Please note that not all works from the online Listening List are included. |
Sounds of Pride
Sounds of Pride embodies a spirit of belonging and inclusion, and builds on Aspen's long history of championing, premiering, and commissioning works by Queer composers. This project is supported in part by the National Endowment for the Arts. |
