CHRISTOPHER THEOFANIDIS/LIBRETTIST MELISSA STUDDARD: Siddhartha, She (World Premiere, AMFS Co-Commission)

06

“It’s possibly the most ambitious performance in my 20 years here.” – AMFS Munroe President and CEO Alan Fletcher

On Saturday, August 2, don’t miss a major artistic event with the world premiere of Siddhartha, She: Hear world-class soloists, rising young artists of the opera program, and the Aspen Festival Orchestra led by Music Director Robert Spano in the immersive theatrical experience which is an ambitious fusion of sight, sound, voice, movement, and storytelling based on the epic legend.

“It’s just gorgeous, beautiful music. I think the audience will be entranced,” says Fletcher.

Dive into the creation process and story of Siddhartha, She in a recent article published in ARTS ATL.

Siddhartha, She is an artistic collaboration 20 years in the making: Composed by AMFS composer-in-residence Christopher Theofanidis, Libretto by Melissa Studdard, Robert Spano conductor; Anne Patterson director and designer; Patrick Harlin soundscape composer.

Don’t miss your chance to experience this entrancing world premiere at the Klein Music Tent!

The showtime for Siddhartha, She will be 2 hours, including intermission. The Lemonade Stand will be open for this event!
