John Arida is an acclaimed pianist and coach known for ardent accompaniments of famed recitalists. His close collaborations with leading classical vocal artists including Julia Bullock, Anthony Roth Costanzo, Samantha Hankey, Christian Van Horn, Isabel Leonard, and Jack Swanson have led to international recital appearances across the U. S., Canada, and Mexico, with notable venues including Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Aspen Music Festival, and Tanglewood.

Arida has worked closely with conductors such as Harry Bicket, Daniela Candillari, John DeMain, Christian Reif, Speranza Scappucci, and Emmanuel Villaume. He has served on the music staffs of Santa Fe Opera, Washington National Opera, Central City Opera, Virginia Opera, and The Juilliard School.

With mezzo-soprano Megan Marino Arida has released two albums: The Traveled Road (Ravello Records), featuring music by Evan Mack, and It’s You I Like (Lexicon Classics), a collection of songs celebrating childhood.

A former fellow at both the Aspen Music Festival and Music Academy of the West, Arida holds a master’s in collaborative piano from The Juilliard School and a bachelor’s in vocal performance from SUNY Purchase. He currently teaches full time in Juilliard’s Vocal Arts division.
