Lucas Amory is a pianist currently enrolled in the Harvard University and New England Conservatory dual exchange, where he is concurrently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in music and government, as well as a master’s degree in piano performance. Winner of both the 2019 Lyra Music Young Artists Competition and the 2019 Claudette Sorel Piano Competition, Lucas has also received prizes from the 92nd Street Y Concerto Competition, the 2020 Arthur Fraser International Piano Competition, and the 2021 inaugural Canada International Piano Competition. He has performed at the 92nd Street Y, Weill Recital Hall, and multiple times at Alice Tully Hall. He has collaborated with distinguished artists such as composer Bruce Adolphe and the Escher Quartet. In his off time, he likes to play chess, or explore old recordings of chamber music.
