Jane Glover is Music Director of Chicago’s Music of the Baroque. Upcoming engagements include debuts at Washington National Opera conducting Gluck’s Alcina, at Opera Omaha conducting Cherubini’s Medea, and at Opera San Jose conducting Alma Deutshcer’s Cinderella.  This past season she conducted the Philadelphia Orchestra in subscription performances, at Manhattan’s School of Music, and made a successful debut with Houston Grand Opera conducting L’Elisir d’amore. Other recent engagements have included the New York Philharmonic, Cleveland Orchestra, productions at New York’s Metropolitan Opera (Magic Flute); Juilliard/Metropolitan Opera Lindemann program (Armide and Iphigenie en Aulide); and many productions at Royal Academy of Music where for many seasons she was Director of Opera and now is Felix Mendelssohn visiting Professor. In recent seasons she has conducted Academy of St Martin in the Fields, the San Francisco, Toronto, Cincinnati, St. Louis and Houston symphonies, the Orchestra of St. Luke’s and has made many appearances at the Aspen Music Festival. Jane Glover’s many recordings feature repertoire of Haydn, Mozart, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Britten, and Walton with the London Mozart Players, London and Royal philharmonic orchestras and the BBC Singers. Her book, Mozart’s Women, was published, to great critical acclaim, in 2005. She was awarded Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 2003.
