Hire a Musician

Thank you for your interest in the Hire A Musician program! The AMFS summer season runs from July 1-August 23, 2026. Hire A Musician is intended for private events requesting background music. Booking requests for Hire A Musician should be received at least one week in advance, otherwise, we are unable to guarantee that musicians will be available. All bookings and payment will be handled by the Hire a Musician office. Please refer to the Hire A Musician FAQ for rates, booking an event, and more.

If you are a community partner, local entity, and/or business looking to inquire about a recurring series with our musicians, please reach out to us directly at hireamusician@aspenmusic.org.

If your event is outside of the summer season (August 24, 2026 - July 1, 2027), please refer to the Local Musicians Available for Performing and Teaching listing below. For more information about the program, please contact us directly. We look forward to providing musicians for your event this summer!

Come listen to our live musicians at the Farmer’s Market from 12 – 2 PM! Ensembles are in various locations throughout the market. Bask in the wondrous sounds along our illustrious landscapes!

Free live music 5 times a week! Join AMFS musicians during Bangkok’s Dinner service from 6 – 8 PM. Ensembles vary each week.

Join talented AMFS Young Artists for a lovely dinner paired with live music from 6 – 8 PM each Sunday in July! This wonderful dinner series is in special collaboration with the AMFS and Aurum Snowmass.

• Aspen Institute - The Bayer Prelude: Music in the Galleries

1000 N. 3rd Street, Aspen
August 2 – August 23, 2026; every Sunday from 2 – 3 PM

Steps away from the Music Tent, Sunday Soloists is an intimate hour of classical performance in the galleries of the Bayer Center, with selections co-curated by the Center and the Music Festival to complement the current exhibition “Double Take: Recurrent Dialogues in the Art of Herbert Bayer.” Musical motifs reflect the visual iconography Bayer used from his time at the Bauhaus School in the 1920s through his Aspen years, and invite a dialogue between the artwork and music.

Before the weekly Aspen Festival Orchestra performance, concert-goers are welcome in the museum to view “Double Take” with musical accompaniment spotlighting the talents of Music Festival students.
