Festival Orchestra: Renée Fleming, Pines of Rome

Brass ring the Klein Tent for Respighi's Pines of Rome, star soprano Renée Fleming premieres Alan Fletcher's Three American Songs. 

Chamber Symphony: Inon Barnatan, Haydn Symphonies 
July 5, 5:30 pm | Klein Music Tent
 Pianist Inon Barnatan returns to Aspen to perform Shostakovich's First Piano Concerto, bookended by two lively Haydn symphonies. 

Conrad Tao Plays Rhapsody in Blue and More
July 15, 6:00 pm | Harris Concert Hall
Conrad Tao performs the original jazz band setting of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, premieres his own composition, a companion piece to and inspired by Rhapsody in Blue. 

Humperdinck's Hansel and Gretel

Singers from the Aspen Opera Theater and VocalARTS program take the Tent stage for a performance of the beloved fairy-tale opera Hansel and Gretel. 

Festival Orchestra: Slatkin Conducts Copland, Gershwin

Bruce Liu makes his AMFS debut performing Prokofiev's Third Piano Concerto, Leonard Slatkin leads the orchestra in works by prominent American composers. 

Chamber Symphony: Jennifer Koh, Sibelius Symphony No. 2

Jennifer Koh joins the Aspen Chamber Symphony for Missy Mazzoli's Violin Concerto, followed by Sibelius's sunny Symphony No. 2. 

Aspen Conducting Academy Orchestra

See the conducting stars of tomorrow in this engaging concert where student conductors rotate between conducting a movement of a work, or playing in the orchestra.

Anniversary Reminiscences Program: Robert McDuffie violin

Beloved violinist and AMFS alumnus Robert McDuffie performs a personally curated program reminiscing on his time at the Festival.

Festival Orchestra: Spano Conducts Wagner, Ohlsson Plays Liszt

The 75th anniversary season concludes with an epic program of Wagner's Die Walküre (Act III) and Garrick Ohlssohn performing Liszt's dazzling Second Piano Concerto.
