Bask in the beauty and elegance of Mozart as interpreted by one of the most esteemed and influential conductors of our time!
James Conlon began his career at the Aspen Music Festival and School before becoming one of the world’s most celebrated and accomplished conductors. His return to the Klein Music Tent podium in this all-Mozart program includes one of the composer’s most cherished concertos, and one of his mature symphonic masterworks. Starting things off is the overture to Mozart’s Symphony No. 29, followed by the composer’s only clarinet concerto featuring Pittsburgh Symphony principal clarinetist, and AMFS alum Michael Rusinek. The concerto is considered to be Mozart’s last completed instrumental work, and one of his greatest achievements.
Discover the talent of violin wunderkind William Yeh, performing Mozart’s Adagio in E major. The concert concludes with the symphony Mozart premiered in Prague to great acclaim. It has been an audience favorite ever since!
