Getting to the Michael Klein Music Tent and Harris Concert Hall (Meadows Campus)

Aspen is located deep in the Rocky Mountains in Colorado, about a 3.5 hour drive from Denver. The Aspen/Pitkin County Airport (ASE) is a ten-minute drive from downtown Aspen, with direct summer flights to major airline hubs all over the country. The Aspen Chamber Resort Association (ACRA) has detailed guides on how to travel to Aspen by air and car.
Once in Aspen, we highly encourage patrons to walk, bike, or take public transit to all Festival events. The address of our Meadows Campus is:

The Roaring Fork Transit Authority (RFTA) regularly serves our campuses and venues. The Cross Town (XT) bus connects downtown Aspen to our Meadows Campus (Klein Music Tent and Harris Concert Hall). All RFTA bus routes within Aspen are FREE. Pleaes contact the RFTA at (970) 925 8484 for more information.
If you prefer to walk, it takes patrons around 30 minutes from downtown Aspen to our Meadows Campus. WE-cycle, Aspen’s bike-share system, is a great way to get around Aspen, and has stations all over the city. It is always FREE for the first 30 minutes. Many hotels in town also offer free shuttle services to our Meadows Campus. Please check with your hotel concierge.

PARKING
Parking is free during all our events, and the entrance to our parking lot for the Klein Music Tent and Harris Concert Hall can be found on Gillespie Ave and North Fifth Street. If the lot is full, patrons are allowed to park on the side streets in the surrounding area. Since this is a residential area, Please be mindful of the parking signs located around the neighborhood.

The AMFS Concert Experience
Seat Reservations
Most ticketed events at the Michael Klein Music Tent, Harris Concert Hall, and Wheeler Opera House are reserved, except for Dress Rehearsals, Piano Department and Harris Hall Master Classes, and the Wind Orchestra Recitals, where seating is general admission. Free events are not ticketed, and are first come, first serve for seating.
Our Venues
The Aspen Music Festival has two concert venues: the Michael Klein Music Tent and Harris Concert Hall. The Festival also uses the Bucksbaum Campus for teaching, rehearsing, and select performances. In addition, events take place in various venues in Aspen (such as the Wheeler Opera House), and throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. Please visit our venues page for more information.
Merchandise
AMFS Merchandise is available for purchase during Aspen Festival Orchestra, Aspen Chamber Symphony, and other performances taking place at the Michael Klein Music Tent. Posters and select merchandise can be purchased online during the off-season.
Lemonade Stand
This summer, enjoy expanded offerings at the beloved Lemonade Stand and its new partner, the Side Bar, both located on the Tent plaza. Open during Aspen Conducting Academy, Aspen Chamber Symphony, Aspen Festival Orchestra concerts, and some recitals and special events, the Lemonade Stand and Side Bar provide patrons with snacks, meals, and drinks before and during concerts. Concert Policies
Doors open 30 minutes before the listed concert start time. Once the concert starts, late arrivals will be seated based on that concert’s late seating policy, as defined by the artist or artists. Intermission details will be included in each concert program.
Non-orchestral personnel and all non-essential personnel are prohibited from accessing backstage spaces of the Michael Klein Music Tent and Harris Concert Hall. On some occasions, artists may greet patrons on the Paepcke Terrace or the Harris Concert Hall Plaza following performances.
Please turn off all cell phones, alarms, pagers, and other audible electronic devices before the concert.
Audience members may take photographs before and after the concert, as well as during intermission and applause. No photography or recording of any kind is permitted during the performance.
No food or drinks other than bottled water or beverages contained in approved AMFS drinkware are allowed in the concert venues. Beverages contained in approved AMFS drinkware are only permitted in the Klein Music Tent.
Concerts are recommended for children over six. Children over the age of 4 are permitted to attend concerts if they can observe concert behavior. Except for specific young people’s events, children under four will not be admitted.
Pets are not permitted in any concert facility. Trained service animals are welcome. Pets are, however, permitted on the David Karetsky Music Lawn. All dogs must be kept on a leash while on the Meadows Campus.
Smoking is strictly prohibited at all AMFS venues.

Lost & Found
The Box Office will hold any personal items left in the facilities. Inquire at the Box Office or call (970) 925 9042. Please note that lost and found services are not available during performances and peak Box Office hours. The Festival cannot be responsible for personal property.
Campus Tours
Campus Tours will not be happening during the 2026 season. We hope to bring back campus tours in 2027!
Off-Season Programming & Events
Our Education and Community programs provide year-round educational programming to students of all ages in the Roaring Fork Valley.
There are many ways to support the Festival, including volunteering, giving, and providing housing for students, faculty, and staff during the summer.
