Alumni Welcome Brunch | Friday, July 19 at 11:30 am 
An event dedicated to our returning alumni, this luncheon celebrates 75 years of music in the mountains. Please join us for this special occasion to share memories and reconnect with others who share your long-term and loyal connection to Festival.

Après-Lunch Chats with Leadership at West End Social | Friday, July 19 at 1:30 pm 
An intimate afternoon chat with President at CEO Alan Fletcher. Gain unique insights and engage in discussions about the future of the AMFS. 

 

Wheeler Opera House and AMFS History Tour | Friday, July 19 at 3 pm
Join us to learn more about the history of Aspen, the Wheeler Opera House, and the AMFS. Presented in collaboration with the Aspen Historical Society. 

 

Panel Series Finale (AOTVA: The Art and Soul of Vocal Music) | Friday, July 19 at 6 pm 
Join us for the grand finale of our pre-season virtual panels with distinguished AMFS alumni. This event is a celebration of the profound expressiveness of vocal music, highlighted by insightful conversations with renowned vocal artists Renée Fleming, Patrick Summers, and Myra Huang, moderated by President and CEO Alan Fletcher. Complimentary food and beverages will be provided! With Special Thanks to Lydia A. Morrongiello, AMFS alumna 

 

ACES Ashcroft Hike | Saturday, July 20 at 10 am
In partnership with the Aspen Center for Environmental Studies (ACES), join us for a delightful hike along the gentle terrain of Castle Creek, culminating in a serene meadow under the towering Star Peak. This hike offers a perfect opportunity for alumni to enjoy Aspen’s peaceful natural setting and learn about the rich history of the Castle Creek Valley. 

 

Après-Lunch Chats with Leadership at Jing | Saturday, July 20 at 11:30 am 
A special opportunity to dine and converse with Alan Fletcher. Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere for in-depth discussions. 

 

Alumni Party at Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar | Saturday, July 20 at 8 pm 
Cap off this action-packed Saturday with a celebration at one of the most vibrant spots in town. Complimentary food and beverages will be provided! With Special Thanks to Hooch Craft Cocktail Bar and Meat & Cheese Restaurant and Farm Shop

 

AMFS Architectural and History Tour | Sunday, July 21 at 9 am 
Led by guide Ann Mullins, this tour will explore the architectural delights of the Bauhaus design school, illuminate the shared history of the institutions, and give participants the opportunity to hear live orchestral rehearsals at the Klein Music Tent. Coffee and dress rehearsal admittance included with tour ticket. Walk-ups accommodated on a space-available basis.

  • Be sure to regularly check your email inbox and our alumni webpage for updates as we approach the reunion. 
  • Hotels and Lodging in the Roaring Fork Valley are in high demand and often reach full capacity swiftly. It is advisable to secure your booking as soon as possible. 
  • For special offers and benefits, please refer to our Discounts and Perks section, which is refreshed on a weekly basis. Please note that registration is necessary to gain access to these special offers.

What is the date and location of the alumni reunion? 

July 19–21, with various locations and events throughout Aspen. Please see our itinerary (above) and updates for details. 

Who is invited to the reunion? 

The reunion is open to all AMFS alumni including former students, staff, and their families. 

Is there a cost to attend the reunion? 

Registration is free! While we cannot provide financial support for flight costs, we are diligently working to mitigate expenses in lodging, food, local transport, and concert tickets. Please see our Discounts and Perks section for details. 

How do I register for the reunion?

Can I bring a guest, and is there an additional charge for guests? 

Absolutely! The more, the merrier. There is no additional charge. 

Is there recommended accommodation near the venues? 

Yes. Please check back soon for our preferred partners!

Is transportation provided to  the venues? 

There are many options for transportation, many of them free: 

  • Bus: Aspen has an outstanding public transportation system and, in the summer, has special routes and schedules to serve AMFS concert and student schedules. Service on the Roaring Fork Transit Authority (RFTA) is FREE within the City of Aspen, Snowmass Village, and the AMFS Bucksbaum Campus. Bus schedules are available by calling 970-925-8484, in print at Rubey Park Transit Center, on most RFTA buses, and online. 
  • Bike: WE-cycle is a free community bikeshare with posts all throughout Aspen, Snowmass Village, Basalt, Willits, El Jebel, and Carbondale. 
  • Rental Car: Please see our Discounts and Perks section if you would like to receive a rental car discount from AVIS.

What is the dress code for the reunion? 

Leave the black tie at home. Aspen is always Après-chic!  

Will meals be provided during the events? 

All scheduled events have catering provided. Additionally, registrants receive complimentary meals at the Carolyn and Matthew Bucksbaum Campus cafeteria. We will send out dietary information requests closer to the reunion date.
