COVID Policies
The Aspen Music Festival and School continues to closely monitor public health conditions and will always operate following all state and county health orders to safeguard its artists, patrons, artist-faculty, students, staff, and community. Guidelines may change at any time and this page will be updated to reflect current conditions.
In the event that the AMFS must rescind a student’s offer of admission due to unforeseen circumstances, tuition and housing deposits/fees will be refunded. Application fees are not refundable.
VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS
As of March 2023, the Aspen Music Festival and School will no longer collect proof of vaccination from its participants. The AMFS community is strongly encouraged to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including boosters, before arriving in Aspen.
MASKING REQUIREMENTS
Masking is optional in all AMFS facilities.
TESTING AND SYMPTOM SURVEILLANCE
Students experiencing COVID symptoms are required to notify the Office of Student Services to receive a COVID-19 test. Symptomatic individuals with a negative result are strongly recommended to complete a second test in 48 hours. Rapid tests can be requested at the Office of Student Services, the Residence Life Office, at the Front Desk, or through an Orchestra Manager. All members of the AMFS community are expected to take responsibility for monitoring their own symptoms and notifying their close contacts if they test positive for COVID-19.
QUARANTINE AND ISOLATION
AMFS community members will self-isolate following the Center for Disease Control’s guidelines.
