The Aspen Music Festival and School harp department offers the opportunity to play premier assignments alongside artist-faculty from major U.S. orchestras or as principal in a variety of ensembles. For details on the student orchestral experience, please see the Orchestra/Instrumental program page.

Important Program Information
- Applicants should submit the Scholarship Request Form for access to all funding opportunities.
- VIDEO audition recordings are required.
- Applicants interested in the Aspen Chamber Symphony (ACS) principal harp fellowship must submit the additional required excerpts.
- Students under the age of 18 do not play in orchestra but may take private lessons and participate in chamber music.

How to Apply

- Applicants will be asked to provide contact information for two individuals who can speak to their qualifications.
- All applicants must submit a video audition. Audition repertoire must be submitted in ONE INDIVIDUAL VIDEO TRACK. No editing or stopping the recording between excerpts. See Audition Repertoire below for more details.

STANDARD HARP REPERTOIRE
All harp applicants must submit the standard repertoire in ONE INDIVIDUAL VIDEO TRACK. No editing or stopping the recording between excerpts.
- Free choice solo, approximately 5 minutes or less (one selection or multiple selections allowed)
- MOZART: Concerto for Flute and Harp, Movement 1, Exposition only
- BERLIOZ: Symphony Fantastique, first page
- BRITTEN: Cadenza from Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra
- TCHAIKOVSKY: Cadenza from Swan Lake
- STRAUSS: Death and Transfiguration, rehearsal A-D
